An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, two women were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and were later released.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
